CISA: Daily Average Crude Steel Output of Member Steelmakers in February 21-28, 2025

During February 21-28, 2025, CISA member steel manufacturers produced 18.07 million tons of crude steel, 15.89 million tons of pig iron, 18.41 million tons of steel products.

Daily output of crude steel at CISA member steel manufacturers was 2.259 million tons, up 108,000 tons or 5% from the daily output during February 11-20; daily output of pig iron was 1.986 million tons, up 78,000 tons or 4.1% from the daily output during February 11-20; daily output of steel products was 2.301 million tons, up 264,000 tons or 13% from the daily output during February 11-20.

CISA estimated that the national average daily output during this period is 2.87 million tons of crude steel, 2.40 million tons of pig iron and 4.16 million tons of finished steel products.

During this ten-day period, the steel inventory of member steel enterprises amounted to 16.31 million tons, a decrease of 420,000 tons compared to the previous ten-day period, down 2.5%.
